The nation-wide Lock-down caused the cancellation, or postponement, of many music related events for obvious reasons. All HBS events were either cancelled or suspended until Alert Level 2. The first HBS Sunday Blues was 24 May 2020. This is followed Queen’s Birthday weekend with the ‘Lock-down Unleashed’ two-day event, in both bars (front and back) Saturday and Sunday the 30 and 31 May 2020. Five Stags Restaurant and Bar hosts HBS Pirongia Blues Festival from midday Saturday until late. Fourteen bands over eleven and a half hours for a modest fee. The HBS is delighted to have support from bands from Tauranga, Auckland, and of course our local minstrels. A great day will be had by all. As usual, child friendly, raffles, with door charge. Camping and camper-van space free.

In Biddy’s back bar from 7pm with live music from 7:30pm. Whiteboard controlled stage access with jam sessions from 7:30pm until 8pm. As usual, a gold coin donation is very much appreciated, merchandise available, raffles, and great live blues music.

First Thursday Night Blues post-Lock-down from COVID-19.
As usual, doors open at 7pm, music from 7:30pm. Whiteboard controlled access to the stage, three songs or 15 minutes per performance. Gold coin donation appreciated, raffles, child friendly.

Thursday 12 December HBS NZ Christmas Party, 7pm back bar Biddy Mulligans.

Bring your membership card and qualify for drink deals.  There will be raffles so bring some change for the tickets.  Wear fancy dress if you fancy and join in the fun.  Musicians wishing to play please register via the website – use the Contacts tab.
