Up  And  Coming  Events:

Certain Events and Festivals HBS supports, such as the Frankton Thunder, are FREE entry. All HBS events are Gold coin donation, except the HBS Concerts, Pirongia and Bluestock Blues Festivals (both ticketed).

Two sleeps and Sunday 25 September 2022 Afternoon Blues is alive at Biddy’s from 1-5pm – with Mark ‘Fatt Max’ Hill (Auckland), Velvet Bulldozer, Mudslide Band, Thunderbirds and Where’s Ray from Tauranga.  Let’s see if we can show our out of town visitors a great friendly welcome.

Ladies Sing The Blues Showcase on Thursday 29 September from 7:00pm at Biddy’s including: Phil and Kim duo (Morrinsville), Biddy, Trish/Mary, and Chris Maydon. See the Home page for more details and if you intend to come, register for bubbles for your lady (see poster).

Thursday 10 September HBS Blues Night

In Biddy’s back bar with jam sessions following from 7pm; live music from 7:30pm. Whiteboard controlled stage access – with jam sessions from 7:30pm ’til 8pm. As usual, a gold coin donation is very much appreciated, merchandise available, raffles, and great live blues music.

Saturday 8 August HBS Bluestock Mini-fest

In conjunction with Waikato Commerce Club, Hamilton Jazz Society, this Mini-fest runs from Midday ’til midnight Saturday. In all 16 bands from Hamilton, the Bay of Plenty, and Auckland come together to deliver some great music. As usual, gold coin donation appreciated, child friendly, merchandise available, and a great afternoon of live music. Door charge: $15 per person with $5 discount for HBS and HJS members.

Sunday 2 August HBS International Blues Music Day

In Biddy’s front bar on Hood Street help us celebrate the 8th IBMD with, from: 1pm – B-Side Boys (Bay of Plenty), 2pm – Fatt Max & Son (Auckland), 3pm – Velvet Bulldozer, 4pm – Hillman Hunters. As usual, gold coin donation appreciated, child friendly, merchandise available, and a great afternoon of live music.
